perfect pitch
Innate tone recognition
Perfect pitch is the ability to identify or produce a musical note without any reference tone—hearing a sound and knowing it's an F-sharp, or singing a B-flat on request.
Also called absolute pitch.
The term extends to any finely tuned sense of rightness: She has perfect pitch for dialogue.
