Box's curved extension
The penalty arc is the curved line at the edge of the penalty area in soccer, marking a radius of ten yards from the penalty spot.
During a penalty kick, all players except the kicker and goalkeeper must stay outside both the penalty area and this arc until the ball is kicked.
