pedestrian light
Crossing indicator beacon
A pedestrian light is a traffic signal specifically for people on foot, typically showing a walking figure or "walk" symbol when it's safe to cross and a raised hand or "don't walk" when it isn't.
Most include countdown timers showing seconds remaining: The pedestrian light gave us twelve seconds to cross.
