peace building
Post-war reconstruction efforts
Peace building encompasses efforts to prevent conflict and establish lasting stability in societies emerging from war or violence.
It goes beyond ending hostilities to address root causes—building institutions, fostering reconciliation, and creating conditions for sustained peace.
The UN deployed peace building missions to help rebuild civil society.
