Adhesive breast covering
A pastie is an adhesive covering worn over the nipple, typically by exotic dancers or performers to comply with decency regulations while appearing topless.
Pasties come in various decorative styles, often with tassels: The burlesque dancer's pasties sparkled under the stage lights.
The word is usually plural since they come in pairs.
Not to be confused with pasty, the British meat pie.
