working lunch
Meeting over sandwiches
A working lunch is a midday meal during which business continues—reviewing documents, holding meetings, or discussing projects while eating.
The term implies efficiency rather than leisure: We'll have a working lunch to finalize the proposal.
It contrasts with a proper lunch break, where work stops.
