password fatigue
Login overload syndrome
Password fatigue is the weariness and frustration that comes from managing too many passwords across different accounts and services.
Modern digital life requires dozens of unique, complex passwords that must be remembered, changed periodically, and never reused—demands that exceed what most people can reasonably handle.
The condition leads to risky shortcuts like using the same password everywhere or writing them down insecurely.
After my third account lockout this week, password fatigue finally drove me to get a password manager.
