Parrotlike describes something resembling a parrot in appearance, sound, or behavior.
Most often it characterizes speech or repetition that mimics without understanding, the way parrots repeat words and phrases: His parrotlike recitation of the talking points suggested he hadn't actually read the report.
It can also describe bright, tropical coloring or a hooked, beaklike profile.
