parricide
Killing one's parent
Parricide is the killing of one's parent or close relative, or a person who commits such an act.
The term covers both matricide (killing one's mother) and patricide (killing one's father).
By extension, parricide can describe the killing of someone to whom one owes allegiance or reverence: The assassination was political parricide.
