paradoxicality

State of self-contradiction

Paradoxicality is the quality of being paradoxical—containing or embodying contradiction.

A statement has paradoxicality when it seems to undermine itself yet somehow remains true or meaningful: The paradoxicality of the claim that less is more.

The term appears in philosophical and literary criticism when writers want a noun for the abstract property rather than just calling something paradoxical.
