panther cub
Young black cat
A panther cub is a young panther—typically a leopard or jaguar, or in North America, a young cougar.
Like other big cat offspring, panther cubs are born blind and helpless, dependent on their mother for survival: The panther cub stayed close to its mother for the first two years.
