pH test
Litmus paper procedure
A pH test measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is, using a scale from 0 (most acidic) to 14 (most alkaline), with 7 being neutral.
Common methods include litmus paper strips that change color or electronic meters for precise readings. pH tests are used in chemistry labs, swimming pools, aquariums, soil analysis, and medical diagnostics: The pH test showed the pool water was too acidic.
