overpromisers
Those who overcommit
Overpromisers are people who habitually commit to more than they can deliver.
The term implies a pattern rather than a single lapse—someone who consistently sets expectations they fail to meet: The tech industry is full of overpromisers who announce features years before they're ready.
Often paired with underdeliverers.
