overplucking

Too much tweezing

Overplucking is removing too much hair when shaping eyebrows, resulting in thin, sparse, or uneven brows.

The term usually refers to tweezing but applies to any hair removal method.

Overplucking was fashionable in certain eras but often leaves people trying to regrow what they removed: I overplucked in the nineties and my brows never fully recovered.
