overpessimism

Too much doom-thinking

Overpessimism is excessive or unwarranted pessimism—expecting worse outcomes than circumstances justify.

The term implies that some pessimism might be reasonable, but this goes too far: His overpessimism about the economy led him to miss good investment opportunities.

Often used as a gentle correction: I think that's overpessimism on your part.
