overhand shuffle
Peeling cards between hands
An overhand shuffle is a common method of shuffling playing cards where you hold the deck in one hand and use the other to pull small packets of cards from the top, letting them fall in random order.
It's the shuffle most people learn first, though it mixes cards less thoroughly than a riffle shuffle: He gave the deck a quick overhand shuffle before dealing.
