overglazed
Given extra gloss
Overglazed describes pottery or ceramics that have received a glaze applied over an existing glaze, or decoration painted on top of a fired glaze.
The technique allows for colors and details that wouldn't survive the initial high-temperature firing: The overglazed porcelain featured delicate gold accents.
Something overglazed may also simply have too much glaze, resulting in drips or pooling.
