oral swab
Cheek DNA collector
An oral swab is a soft-tipped stick used to collect saliva or cells from inside the mouth for testing.
DNA tests, drug screenings, and disease diagnostics commonly use oral swabs because collection is quick and non-invasive: The nurse ran an oral swab along the inside of my cheek.
Also called a buccal swab or cheek swab.
