open source license
Software sharing agreement
An open source license is a legal agreement that allows software to be freely used, modified, and distributed.
Different licenses impose different conditions: some require derivative works to remain open source, others permit incorporation into proprietary software.
The project uses the MIT license, one of the most permissive open source licenses.
Common examples include GPL, Apache, and BSD licenses.
