nontransmissible

Not passed along

Nontransmissible describes something that cannot be passed from one person or thing to another.

The term appears most often in medical contexts for diseases that aren't contagious: Diabetes is nontransmissible—you can't catch it from someone.

It also applies to rights, properties, or privileges that cannot be transferred: The license is nontransmissible and expires upon the holder's death.
