nonrecirculating

Not cycling back

Nonrecirculating describes a system where fluid, air, or other material passes through once and is then discarded or expelled rather than being cycled back: a nonrecirculating ventilation system, nonrecirculating cooling water.

The term appears most often in technical contexts involving HVAC, laboratory equipment, or industrial processes where contamination or heat buildup makes reuse impractical.
