new man
Emotionally evolved male
A new man is a man transformed—reformed, renewed, or reborn.
The phrase often follows feel like or make: After that vacation, I feel like a new man.
It can mark personal change through religion, recovery, or relationship.
In British usage from the 1980s onward, New Man (often capitalized) described men who rejected traditional masculinity in favor of emotional openness and domestic involvement.
