naturescaping
Wildlife-friendly yard design
Naturescaping is landscaping that emphasizes native plants, natural features, and ecological function over purely decorative design.
The approach favors species indigenous to the region, reduces water use and chemical inputs, and creates habitat for local wildlife: We converted the lawn to naturescaping with native grasses and wildflowers.
The goal is a yard that works with the local ecosystem rather than against it.
