national reserves
Government emergency supplies
National reserves are resources held by a government for future use or emergencies.
The term most often refers to strategic stockpiles—oil, grain, or currency—maintained against supply disruptions or economic crises.
It also applies to protected lands set aside for conservation or public use, and to military forces kept in reserve rather than active duty: The president authorized a release from the national reserves.
