mystical experiences
Encounters with divinity
Mystical experiences are moments of profound spiritual or transcendent awareness—encounters with what feels like ultimate reality, divine presence, or cosmic unity.
Common features include a sense of oneness with the universe, dissolution of the boundary between self and other, feelings of timelessness, and ineffability (the sense that the experience defies ordinary language).
She described her mystical experience as feeling dissolved into pure light.
Such experiences occur across religious traditions and sometimes outside any religious framework, whether induced by meditation, prayer, psychedelics, or arising spontaneously.
