mini ramp
Backyard skating transition
A mini ramp is a small halfpipe used in skateboarding, typically three to six feet tall with flat bottom sections and curved transitions on each side.
Unlike full-sized halfpipes or vert ramps, mini ramps allow skaters to practice transitions and aerial tricks at lower speeds and heights: We built a mini ramp in the backyard.
The term extends to similar structures for BMX and inline skating.
