milk bottle toss

A milk bottle toss is a carnival game where players throw balls at a pyramid of stacked bottles, trying to knock them all down to win a prize.

The bottles—originally actual milk bottles, now typically weighted pins—are notoriously difficult to topple completely, making the game a classic example of deceptively hard carnival challenges: I wasted ten dollars on the milk bottle toss and never knocked them all down.
