Gradual temple cut
A mid fade is a men's haircut where the hair gradually tapers from longer on top to shorter on the sides, with the fade—the blending zone where hair transitions to skin or very short stubble—positioned at roughly ear level.
It sits between a low fade (near the neckline) and a high fade (near the temples): I asked the barber for a mid fade with some texture on top.
