microanalysis
Tiny-scale detailed study
Microanalysis is the detailed examination of something on a very small scale.
In chemistry, it refers to the analysis of minute quantities of substances—milligrams or less.
The term extends to any fine-grained investigation: a microanalysis of the poem's imagery, microanalysis of consumer behavior patterns.
The opposite approach is macroanalysis.
