louvered windows
Tilting glass panels
Louvered windows have horizontal slats angled to admit air and light while blocking rain and direct sun.
The slats can be fixed or adjustable, controlled by a lever that tilts them open or closed.
Common in tropical climates and older buildings, they provide ventilation without fully exposing the interior: The louvered windows kept the room cool through the humid summer.
