lord and master
Absolute household ruler
Lord and master is a phrase for someone with complete authority or control, often used ironically or sarcastically about a husband or boss: I must ask my lord and master if I can go out tonight.
The phrase echoes feudal language where lords held genuine power over subjects, but modern usage almost always carries a mocking tone about someone's presumed authority.
