living water
Moving, not stagnant
Living water is water that flows or moves, as opposed to stagnant water—a spring, stream, or river rather than a pond or cistern.
In Christian scripture, Jesus uses the phrase metaphorically for spiritual nourishment or eternal life: Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.
The term appears in both literal and spiritual contexts across religious traditions.
