liquid restrictions
Beverage volume rules
Liquid restrictions are rules limiting the amount of liquids passengers can carry through airport security checkpoints.
Implemented after 2006 terrorism concerns, the standard rule allows containers of 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less, all fitting in a single quart-sized clear plastic bag: I had to throw out my water bottle because of liquid restrictions.
