Lift line worker
A liftie is a ski lift operator—the person who helps skiers and snowboarders load onto chairlifts and gondolas, checks passes, and keeps the lift running safely.
The job is often held by young seasonal workers drawn to mountain towns for the skiing: I spent a season as a liftie in Colorado.
