life alert

Senior safety button

Life Alert is a brand of medical alert system—a wearable device that lets elderly or disabled people summon emergency help with the push of a button.

The phrase entered popular culture through its melodramatic commercials featuring an elderly woman crying Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!

That line became a catchphrase, often quoted ironically when someone trips or struggles to rise from a couch.
