lei ceremony
Hawaiian garland ritual
A lei ceremony is the Hawaiian tradition of presenting flower garlands to welcome guests, honor achievements, or mark significant occasions.
Leis are draped around the recipient's neck, often accompanied by a kiss on the cheek.
The ceremony appears at graduations, weddings, airport arrivals, and other celebrations: The graduates received leis from their families after the ceremony.
