language lab
Foreign tongue facility
A language lab is a classroom equipped with audio or video technology where students practice speaking and listening in a foreign language.
Traditional language labs had individual booths with headphones and microphones; modern ones often use computer software.
We spent an hour in the language lab drilling pronunciation.
