land distribution
Dividing up acreage
Land distribution is the allocation of land among people, typically by governments or authorities.
The term often appears in discussions of agrarian reform, where large estates are broken up and parceled out to peasants or small farmers: Land distribution was central to the revolution's promise.
It can also refer more neutrally to how land ownership is spread across a population: The country's land distribution remains highly unequal.
