kiss-in
Public smooch protest
A kiss-in is a form of public protest where participants kiss openly, typically to challenge discrimination against LGBTQ+ people or to assert the right to public displays of affection.
Modeled on sit-ins and other civil rights demonstrations, kiss-ins often target businesses, religious institutions, or public spaces where same-sex couples have been told their affection is unwelcome.
Activists organized a kiss-in outside the restaurant after a gay couple was asked to leave.
