ink paintings
Wash and brush
Ink paintings are artworks created with ink applied by brush, especially in the East Asian tradition.
The technique emphasizes brushwork, tonal gradation, and often incorporates calligraphy.
Subjects typically include landscapes, flora, and fauna rendered in black ink on paper or silk, though color may appear: The museum's collection of Chinese ink paintings spans five centuries.
