impanelling
Assembling a jury
Impanelling is the process of selecting and enrolling jurors to serve on a jury panel.
Courts impanel juries for trials, grand juries for investigations, and sometimes special panels for inquests.
The spelling with double L is more common in British English; American English typically uses impaneling.
The judge began impanelling the jury Monday morning.
