ice tsunami
Glacial shore invasion
An ice tsunami is a surge of broken ice pushed ashore by strong winds, piling against coastlines, beaches, or lakefronts.
Unlike water tsunamis caused by seismic activity, ice tsunamis result from sustained wind driving floating ice sheets inland, sometimes crashing through barriers and damaging waterfront property: The ice tsunami buried cars along the shore.
