horse corral
Fenced pasture area
A horse corral is an enclosed area for containing horses, typically a fenced pen or yard attached to a barn or stable.
Corrals are used for gathering, sorting, training, or temporarily holding horses: We drove the mustangs into the horse corral.
The term is most common in western North America, where corral reflects Spanish ranching heritage.
