homeworkers
Work from home
Homeworkers are people who perform their jobs from home rather than commuting to a workplace.
The term covers both employees with remote work arrangements and those who do piecework or cottage industry labor from their residences.
The company employs hundreds of homeworkers who handle customer service calls.
In labor contexts, homeworkers sometimes face distinct challenges around wages, benefits, and workplace protections compared to on-site employees.
