Puck deflection guard
A hockey visor is a clear plastic shield that attaches to a hockey helmet, protecting the eyes and upper face while leaving the lower face exposed.
Unlike a full cage, a visor offers better visibility and airflow but less protection: He took a high stick to the mouth because he only wore a visor.
Required in most amateur leagues, optional in the NHL.
