hipshot

One hip dropped

Hipshot describes a stance with one hip lower than the other, weight shifted to one leg—the pose of someone standing casually or languidly: She stood hipshot in the doorway, waiting.

The term comes from horses: a hipshot horse has a dislocated hip that causes one side to drop.

In photography and art, hipshot often describes this asymmetrical, relaxed posture as aesthetically appealing.
