highballs
Tall mixed drinks
Highballs are cocktails made by mixing a spirit with a larger proportion of a nonalcoholic mixer, typically served over ice in a tall glass: whiskey and soda, rum and Coke, gin and tonic.
The glass itself is called a highball glass.
To highball is to move at high speed, originally railroad slang for a signal to proceed.
