hide and go seek

Playground pursuit game

Hide and go seek is a children's game in which one player closes their eyes and counts while the others scatter to find hiding places, then searches for them.

The seeker typically counts to a set number at a designated spot called "home base" or "it," often announcing Ready or not, here I come! before beginning the hunt.

The game ends when all players are found, with the first one discovered usually becoming the next seeker.

Also called hide and seek.
