heptagons
Polygons with septuples
Heptagons is the plural of heptagon, a polygon with seven sides and seven angles.
Regular heptagons have all sides and angles equal, but the term applies to any seven-sided closed figure.
Unlike triangles, squares, and hexagons, heptagons cannot tile a plane perfectly, which makes them relatively rare in architecture and design.
The coin's heptagonal shape made it easy to distinguish by touch.
