Horizontal closet pole
A hanging rail is a horizontal bar or rod designed to hold items suspended from it, typically clothes on hangers.
In closets and wardrobes, it's the metal or wooden bar where garments hang: We need to install a second hanging rail for my shirts.
The term also applies to similar fixtures in retail displays and industrial settings.
